Photography

In this project Maria is exploring the space between people engaging in a meeting. Where does a meeting start, and where does it end? What meaning has the physical or digital space for their interaction?

During the pandemic, the basis for social interaction in the physical space was altered. Therapists like other staff at workplaces adapted and used the digital space instead of the physical space for meetings. There were doubts, as if the important human connection would carry over into this altered space.

Maria wishes to illustrate how people might perceive meetings in the physical space compared to the digital space. She also explores rituals and possible traces of meetings.

In her photographic practice Maria works conceptually and combines photography and text.
